Charities
Gamma Phi Delta Sorority contributes annually to approved charitable organizations that are involved in serving humanity and whose objectives reflect our mission. We are particularly interested in working with organizations whose objectives are the elimination of economic, educational, vocational and social gaps that exist between the privileged and underprivileged. Our service to the community includes volunteer work in hospitals, nursing homes, public schools, tutoring, literacy and programs for the elderly. We offer support to the Red Cross, Little Red Door, March of Dimes, Sickle Cell Anemia, GAINS, Salvation Army and others.
International Affairs
We engage in Ribbons for Africa. Chapters collect "pocket change" and send their donations collected to Nationals who forwards the donations to Africa for Support of our sisters in the motherland.
Affiliations
Gamma Phi Delta Sorority is a Life Member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), National Affiliates, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). We are members of the Assault on Illiteracy Program, National Affiliates Assembly, and donate generously to the United Negro College Fund.
